Rest in Power, Muna Lakhani!

The funeral of Muna Lakhani is taking place today in Cape Town and a memorial service is taking place in Durban. Muna was an internationally renowned activist who dedicated his life to training people in Zero Waste; Clean Production; Renewable Energy; Sustainable and Organic Agriculture, and other important environmental matters. Muna was the Founder and National Co-ordinator for the Institute for Zero Waste in Africa (IZWA). Before his death, he served Extinction Rebellion in an advisory role. He was always willing to devote time and energy to assist new and established environmental rights organizations and movements. Muna gave support and advise to the leadership of Sharp# and met up with Sharp# members in the weeks before his passing. Muna's last public speech was at a rally for the Socialist Workers Revolutionary Party in Phillipi Industrial where he spoke on behalf of Extinction Rebellion, reminding us that we all have a responsibility to protect our natural environment. He always spoke with passion and used his voice to mobilize activists in SA and around the world. We will honor his legacy by continuing the work he started. Viva Muna Lakhani Viva!
