Delius (arr. Harold Perry): The Walk to the Paradise Garden

I recorded this as a (belated) response to a viewer request. The British composer Frederick Delius (1862-1934) needs little introduction or, indeed, promotion from me. He has long been championed by eminent British conductors, and his music drifts in and out of fashion (his big choral works get reasonably regular performance in major venues in the UK). This orchestral interlude from his 1907 opera 'A Village Romeo and Juliet' has long had a life of its own, and is far better known than the opera itself. This is one of several piano arrangments of Delius orchestral pieces by Harold Perry (of whom I can offer no biographical details) that were popular in the 1940s and 1950s.
