Five researchers from #ISGlobal share how their curiosity began: childhood questions, early inspirations, doubts they faced, and the moments that confirmed they belonged in science. Their journeys remind us that scientific careers start with a spark, often in a young girl who is simply encouraged to ask "why". Representation and visibility matter. By listening to their experiences, we hope more girls can see a place for themselves in research and public health, and know that science needs their voices.
