We Recovered James Michael “Mikie” Mills’ Van After 19 Years Underwater On September 12th, 2025, I located a submerged van in the Ohio River near Uniontown/Morganfield, Kentucky. This vehicle has now been confirmed as belonging to James Michael “Mikie” Mills, who went missing in 2006. Inside the van, human remains were discovered, bringing long-awaited answers to a 19-year cold case. I grew up in Uniontown, and it was only right that this case was brought to light and Mikie was finally found. While DNA testing is pending, this recovery represents a major step toward closure for the family and community.
