⭐ Why Satan Fears the Temple? | David A. Bednar This talk begins by acknowledging the historic and global rise in temple construction. The growth of temples is a fulfillment of prophecy and a sign of God hastening His work in the last days. But as temples increase, so does opposition—both from outside critics and, at times, from those within the Church. This should not discourage us. In fact, it’s a sign that this work is divine and vital. The quote from Brigham Young about the “bells of hell ringing” illustrates that opposition is not new. Every time the Saints have attempted to build a temple, Satan has fought back. But President Young’s confidence is clear: all the adversary’s efforts ultimately come to nothing. God’s work cannot be stopped. The Lord Himself has declared, “I will not suffer that mine enemies shall destroy my work” (D&C 10:43). When we are engaged in temple work, we stand with the Lord—and He stands with us.
