It is at an altitude of 109 meters, latitude 03º12'12" south and longitude 52º12'23" west. The Transamazônica Highway crosses the municipality in an east-west direction for a length of 60 km, connecting Altamira to Belém (800 km), Marabá (510 km), Itaituba (500 km) and Santarém (570 km).
