I’m a first time mom to an 18 month old, as well as a stay at home mom. And my son has been working hard to improve his gross & fine motor skills. My son is testing his boundaries, learning how to climb, jump, walk, run, and get through tough spaces. Gross motor skills involve those larger muscle groups in the body that you use for larger, and usually more physical, movement, while fine motor use those small muscles we use to write and do intricate things with our hands.
