The European AIDS Clinical Society Biennial Report 2015 is the first edition of the newly launched report that has been distributed during the 15th European AIDS Conference, held in Barcelona, October 21-24, 2015. The European AIDS Conference is held every two years. EACS aims at bringing together scientists from all over Europe to facilitate an exchange of the latest information regarding clinical aspects of the disease. As Professor Manuel Battegay, EACS President, said: “the Biennial Report is "a new way to illustrate to our constituency during each biennial EACS Conference what has been achieved and what lies ahead for Europe’s largest Society of health care professionals working in the eld of HIV/AIDS.” The report includes information about the Society’s achievements and its organisation. The European AIDS Clinical Society is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to promote excellence in standards of care, research and education in HIV infection and related co-infections, and to actively engage in the formulation of public health policy, with the aim of reducing HIV disease burden across Europe.
