This is the opening song of Laura's recent stop in SF. This is another New Song and a very long one, @ 13 + minutes. I am unfamiliar with it. Online, I saw a set list that said it was "I Was an Eagle" but this song does not match other UTube vids of a song by that title. I've since learned (thanks to ilovemarling) that this is a version of a medley that will open her new album (set for Feb. 2013 release). That makes this even more exciting. The first time I saw Laura live was at this venue, The Swedish American Hall in San Francisco, 2 years 8 months ago. Since that concert, I've been lucky enough to see Laura another 7 times. I've seen her playing solo 2 other concerts. Of the 3 solo efforts I've seen her perform this is the most accomplished. Her singing, playing and stage presence are all more accomplished than her other concerts. This "Working Holiday Tour", was a most pleasant surprise. It was/is a marvelous performance by an Artist who continues to gain confidence in all facets of live performance. Enjoy!
