Today’s true crime case takes us to October 4th 2023 when the FBI contacted Essex Police to alert them about an imminent threat to life. They had become aware that a man was planning to kidnap, rape and kill a well known celebrity in the UK, Holly Willoughby a popular tv presenter. Within an hour the Police raided a home in the town of Harlow. They didn’t knock on the door, they put it in with a battering ram because they were aware that the man inside the property was dangerous and, if given enough time, would destroy vital evidence. As soon as they got into the property the occupant, 37 year old Gavin Plumb was arrested. When the Police began investigating, they realised that Plumb was not a fantasist, he was a man who had a history of abusing and targeting women and had spent years fantasing, discussing and preparing for the horrific crimes he was desperate to commit. The evidence they recovered included a video of Plumb filming the kit that he was going to use to abduct and rape Holly. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg of the depravity of Gavin Plumb, a dangerous sadistic sexual predator who should never be released from prison.
