Ready to beat the heat and keep your aquatic friends comfortable? Dive into this step-by-step tutorial on How to Cool Down Your Aquarium Using a DIY Aquarium Chiller made with Peltier modules! Whether you're dealing with summer heat or just want better water temperature control, this project is a game-changer. In this video, I show you how to cool an aquarium using a homemade aquarium cooling system that brought the temperature of my 12-gallon fish tank down from 28°C to 25°C in just 2 hours. This fish tank chiller works best for aquariums up to 20 gallons (with a maximum of 2 Peltier modules). Important Notes: 👉 If the heatsink is getting too hot and the water isn't cooling enough, switch to a larger heatsink for better heat dissipation. 👉 This setup is for freshwater aquariums only—do not use in marine tanks, as saltwater will corrode the aluminum water block. For long-term freshwater setups, consider using stainless steel or titanium water blocks. 👉 Do not run the pump dry.
