This is a special song for me, because he wrote it when Deidre and I were first married, and that new season was a short, special time for our family. Dad had got some gigs around Montana to promote that solo guitar album. He invited me to come on some gigs and play with him 2nd set. I worked my butt off to learn this mandolin part. So on 8/29 after coming over the parents' house to do a little chainsaw chore in the back yard, and after a quick run through of the arrangement, we played though this tune. This video is the first time we'd played this song in quite a few years. Thanks dad for so much music in my life!
