In this episode, we spend a full weekend exploring some of the best farmers markets in San Francisco, discovering new coffee shops, and trying brunch spots across different neighborhoods, from the Ferry Building to the Richmond District. The weekend starts at the Ferry Building Farmers Market, often considered one of the best farmers markets in San Francisco. What I expected to be a tourist-heavy stop turned out to be an incredible local experience, with California-grown fruits, berries, flowers, and conversations with longtime farmers. From fresh produce to standout berries, this market quickly became a favorite. After the market, we head to Cafe Sebastian for brunch, a French bistro–inspired spot with live music and outdoor seating. We keep it light with starters like huevos rancheros and truffle deviled eggs, then end the afternoon listening to live music at Redwood Park near the Transamerica Pyramid, one of the best hidden weekend hangout spots in downtown San Francisco. On Sunday, we explore the Central Richmond District, an area close to the beach and Golden Gate Park that we are considering for an apartment rental. We start with brunch at Cinderella Bakery, known for its Eastern European food, pastries, and savory pies, then compare a second, more local farmers market just a few blocks away. The contrast between the two markets offers a great look at how diverse San Francisco farmers markets can be. The weekend wraps up at a high-energy neighborhood coffee shop that doubles as a bar at night, serving excellent specialty coffee and signature drinks. This spot easily earns a place on my growing list of the best coffee shops in San Francisco.
