HAS YOUR EMAIL BEEN LEAKED? ⤵️ 🚨 ⤵️ 🚨 ⤵️ 🚨 ⤵️ https://bit.ly/36JDox2 👆 👆 👆 👆 👆 How it all began? It all began when we discovered a database with 2 million MyFreeCams.com user records being sold on a popular hacker forum. We then received sample data to confirm if it was legitimate and asked the threat actor how the database happened to be breached. Next, we received a reply that an sql injection was used and it was done at the end of 2020. An sql injection is a common technique to inject malicious or unintended statements or code to i.e. dump the user database. We immediately disclosed the information to the company and received a swift response. The company then said that they have started investigating and mitigating the risks by resetting user passwords. So, our next move was to track the bitcoin wallet used by the threat actor and saw 47 transactions already made and most correlate with the date when the database was first put on sale and the amounts. What was in the database? 🚨 User emails 🚨 Plaintext passwords and usernames 🚨 Token amounts What happens next? Now, If you think you could have been a victim of this data leak or you have a MyFreeCams account then be sure to immediately change your password and if it’s a duplicate password change this across all of your online accounts. It would also be wise to get a reputable password manager to further safeguard yourself, there are many free or paid versions out there and we have different recommendations on our channel that you can check out.
