This Workshop proposal was built from our experience in offering the discipline “Community Ecology” in the Postgraduate Program in Animal Biology, UNESP / IBILCE which, over seven editions, brought together a team of young researchers, but with high competence in their areas of expertise. This enabled the discipline to attract, in each edition, more students both from our Program, as well as Postgraduate Programs from other institutions (USP, UFSCar, UFMS, UFG etc.), interested in current and high-level content, reconciling theories in ecology with analytical instrumentation.
