This is my first upload in over 7 months, 2025 has been really busy for me, but I have now managed to get myself back into my new workshop and turning some pieces. My Dad came up with this project idea in 2024, so you can all thank him for this really cool idea. I started this in November last year, and had it sitting in my old workshop unfinished for months. The piece is made from Elm, which gives the Christmas tree holder a beautiful grain that cascades down the piece. I'm really looking forward to hearing the feedback on this piece, I hope my followers are still out there wanting to see Harry Smith Woodturning content! ________________________________________________________________ Social Media: Instagram: harrysmith_woodturning TikTok: @harrysmithwoodturning Second Channel: / harrysmithshorts Designed By HS Channel: / @designedbyhs Email for quotes and queries: [email protected] __________________________________________________________________________ Starbond: Use the code: HarrySmith , for 10% OFF Site-Wide - https://starbond.com/ __________________________________________________________________________ Axminster: This channel is supported by Axminster. Some of my techniques might not be the "best" or safest, so when using any tool or machinery always read and understand safety/manufacturers guidelines first. And Yes, I'm aware that wearing gloves while woodturning is considered an unsafe practice. The gloves I wear are tight-fitting and don’t have any loose threads. I wear them for the protection of my skin. This is a risk that I am willing to take, however I am still very conscious of the potential danger and I do not touch any spinning parts of the lathe. DO NOT copy my actions if you feel unsafe doing so.
