Glacier Lake | MY FIRST TIME BACKPACKING | Banff National Park

Hello! In this video, I try backpacking for the first time. Backpacking had been a goal I set for myself back when I read the book Wild, but only trying a night or two at a time to see if I liked it. I went with some friends and decided on Glacier Lake in Banff, Alberta. We reserved our spots at the campsite back in March so this was a highly anticipated trip for us. After camping at Two Jack Lake for a night to test out our gear and be closer to where the trailhead for Glacier Lake is, we drove out and set off on the 8.9km trail to where we would be staying overnight. When we got to camp after a few hours of walking and talking to keep ourselves entertained, we set up and made dinner before winding down for a quiet night. I surprisingly managed to get some decent sleep (probably thanks to the sound of waves coming from only 10m away). After waking up and making breakfast, we packed out and set back out to the car to go home. Although this was a short trip, it was a great practice trip for hopefully more backpacking trips in the coming years. Belle :)
