When Adam Nimoy was 8-years-old, his father came home with polaroids of him in makeup and costume for a new show called “Star Trek.” Soon his father was a household name and the show one of the most popular of the 1960s. But their relationship was strained and they did not become close until the end of his father’s life. Meghna Chakrabarti, host of On Point and a self-proclaimed Trekkie, sat down for a conversation with Nimoy about his moving and enlightening memoir, “The Most Human: Reconciling with My Father, Leonard Nimoy,” where he shares his childhood memories, his struggles with addiction and the story of his eventual reconciliation with his father.
