Thank you for 5,600 subscribers! I appreciate your support SO much! And thank you to Plaid Products for allowing me to be a Product Ambassador! Fun upcycled projects in today’s video! For our first project, we will be using tin cans, Iron Orchid Designs Crockery Stamps, and DAS air dry clay to create cute flower pots. Make sure your cans are clean and dry, and scuff with sandpaper for better paint adhesion. I used Rustoleum Chalk Paint in Linen White to paint my cans. I then kneaded and rolled out my clay to about 1/4 inch thickness. I pressed my stamps into the clay to get a clear impression, trimmed around with a plastic knife, and removed the excess. They are gorgeous! I allowed the clay appliques to slightly dry over the cans, then used Titebond glue to adhere them. I used clear wax, antiquing wax, black wax, and wax with Waverly Chalk Paint in Steel to bring out all those fabulous details! *Here's the link for the label images if you want to decoupage your own: https://thegraphicsfairy.com/shabby-f... *And here's where I buy my Iron Orchid Designs products: https://myvictorianheart.com/ Kimberly has a fabulous selection, outstanding customer service, quick shipping, and adorable packaging! Next, we take mason jar lid rings to make an adorable pumpkin. I painted the rings in Waverly Chalk Paint in Plaster, and also painted an old toilet brush handle for the stem. I used Mod Podge to decoupage strips of book pages on to the rings. I threaded the rings onto a piece of twine, formed a circle, and knotted the twine. I used hot glue to secure the "stem" into the middle of the pumpkin and accented with ribbon from Hobby Lobby and a cute Sola Wood Flower. It doesn't get any easier than this! Finally, we transform a small lamp into a cake stand! After gutting the lamp, Mr. Shabby cut 2 pieces of wood to add stability to the base. I painted the base in Rustoleum Chalk Paint in Linen White, and sprayed with 3 coats of Matte Sealer. I used a wood round from Home Depot for the topper. For a food safe stain, I used antiquing wax and water to give a rich color to the wood, then sealed with 3 coats of Butcher Block Conditioner. What a stunning small home decor piece!
