TOPWATER MAYHEM at the Cape Cod Canal!

This past August at the Cape Cod Canal really was crazy... Give this video a LIKE if you've hit the big ditch recently, and SUBSCRIBE for more! I woke up bright early to meet up with Hayden from Get Tight Fishing at the Cape Cod Canal. We made our way down the bike path, and set up shop at a fishy spot. It was totally dark when we first arrived, but the striped bass were actively feeding throughout the water column! Hayden picked up a few fish on the jig, and I started lobbing a 9" Sebile Magic Swimmer. Soon enough, stripers started striking my lure, and I landed a nice fish in total darkness that I couldn't capture on my GoPro. Eventually the skies lightened up, and I was able to capture some footage to share with you all! And as it got brighter, I switched over to my trusty Gibbs Canal Special Pencil Popper, and started getting some serious topwater blowups! Eventually I hooked a big fish, and it took a few drag peeling runs. It was a great fight, but eventually I landed and released a striped bass right around the 30 pound mark, approximately 44 inches long. Just another fun day on the Cape Cod Canal!
