Multiple Cars Burn Inside Auto Repair Shop in Whittier

WHITTIER, Calif., Mar. 20, 2026 (KNN) – Los Angeles County Fire Department crews and Whittier Police Department officers responded to a fire at an auto repair shop located in the 7700 block of Greenleaf Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and flames coming from inside the building. Firefighters gained access to the shop and discovered multiple vehicles engulfed in flames. The fire had spread to the roof of the building. Crews worked diligently and controlled the fire within 45 minutes of receiving the dispatch call. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, as is whether any employees were present at the time of the incident.
