We headed out to AK Airbrushing & Auto Body at Flabob Airport in Southern California to check on the Tacoma build and get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most unique body shops around. This isn’t your typical shop in an industrial park — it’s located inside a historic airport surrounded by aviation history, aircraft restoration, and some really cool programs for the next generation. Alan Farias gives us a full tour of the shop and the airport, including the youth training program where kids learn skills like detailing, body work, painting, and mechanical work. We also check out airplane restoration projects, aviation history around the airport, and some wild behind-the-scenes spots most people never get to see. On top of that, we check in on the Tacoma project, drop off parts, work through some engine issues, and get closer to paint. This place has everything from mini trucks and custom paint to vintage aircraft and rocket labs, so it made for a pretty interesting day.
