Many English learners believe they need more vocabulary or more grammar rules. In reality, the real problem is often listening comprehension — and more specifically, a lack of repetition. In this video, I explain the second key to learning English: why listening to the same content repeatedly is one of the fastest and most effective ways to train your ear and improve your understanding of real spoken English. I only truly understood this after learning French — and later Italian — as an adult. Repetition completely changed how quickly I improved, even though I already understood most of what I was hearing. In this lesson, you’ll learn: • Why repetition is essential for understanding spoken English • How repetition helps you learn vocabulary and grammar naturally • Why “listening once” is not enough for language acquisition • How to use subtitles and transcripts correctly (without feeling like you’re cheating) • What kind of English content actually works for intermediate learners If you understand most of what I’m saying, you’re exactly in the right place. Subtitles are available, and you can find the full transcript on my website (link in the description). This channel focuses on learning English through comprehension, not memorization. No vocabulary lists, no grammar drills — just real, meaningful English that trains your brain the way it naturally learns languages. Repetition is part of the learning.
