Microsoft has released the optional update KB5067036 for Windows 11, which brings several improvements, including the long-awaited new Start menu. Although the update is usually rolled out gradually, this video shows how to enable it immediately. To do this, the open-source tool “Vive Tool” is used, which allows new features to be unlocked via a unique feature ID. After downloading and extracting the tool, the directory is changed in the Command Prompt with administrator rights, and the command to activate the new Start menu feature is entered. After a restart, the new Start menu appears, which is significantly more user-friendly than the old one: installed apps are now visible directly on the main page, rather than hidden behind an additional “All Apps” button. There is also a clear separation between pinned and recommended apps, with the latter being optionally disabled in the settings. Finally, viewers are invited to leave a comment if they are interested in a detailed setup video for the new Start menu and to subscribe to the channel.
