Haor Fishing is very interesting. Fishermen use branches of trees at a fixed area of Haor to attract fishes as the fish think the place is safe to inhabit. Some bamboo poles are put around the branches to make a round shape. Before fish harvesting fishermen round the area with net. Then branches are removed very carefully and minimum two fishermen pull the net and finally catch the fish. These fishing techniques are locally known as Katha fishery.
