8 Days Alone in Temagami - Part 2. Solo Canoe Trip. The Campsite from Heaven & the Portage from Hell

During peak black fly and mosquito season, I ventured deep into the vast area of Temagami for an 8 day solo trip. Covering over 100kms, I encountered some insane weather, black flies and mosquitoes that wanted to torment me 24/7, beautiful wildlife, and excellent fishing. Through some uncertain days on this trip, I learned a great deal about myself and ultimately fell even more in love with nature and adventuring within it depths. In Part 2, I travel from Southeast Bay to beautiful McConnell Bay, and I camp on a beautiful beach campsite. The evening spent there treated me to the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. It was my own piece of paradise to enjoy before taking on the portage from hell...an 850m slog through a deep swamp into Laura Lake. I camp on Evelyn Lake after a brutal battle of a day.
