How to Prime A water Pump. Fix your well pump When the water is not running.

How to prime the well pump after it has lost its suction there is no water pressure,and the water doesn’t work. Many people may know that manual pitcher type pumps may need to be primed with water before you can actually pump water out of them but many people may not know that electric well pumps can actually lose their suction. They may need a new part, new parts but if they have been sitting for a while they may lose their section and water needs to be put in the well pump so that it can be primed and it can pump water. In this video I show you a electric well pump that is connected to a more shallow well, and I prime the pump and I had already been doing some work to this well pump before this video but you basically get to see how it works. A pump may lose its prime because of a bad foot valve and/or a leak somewhere in the water system. It is important to turn the electric off when you go to prime your well pump. If you have a habitual problem with your well pump not working and not pumping water the way you like, you might want to possibly consider storing multiple gallons of water somewhere so that you can fix your well pump with priming it. One possible source of water may be actually in your water heater but be very careful of sediment that may be in there.
