CREST is back at the 11th and final session of UN OEWG on ICT Security, supporting global cyber resilience and capability-building! 🌐 During the stakeholder session, Wafa’ Nimri delivered CREST’s intervention, supporting the OEWG’s ambition to improve supply chain security through global standards, and to support capacity building through a standardised curriculum. Wafa’ underlined how CREST’s 18 years’ experience driving resilience through the cyber security supply chain by setting standards and developing and assessing professionals can support the future permanent mechanism in implementing the OEWG’s initiatives. She highlighted how CREST is especially well-placed to support: Supply chain security standards - through CREST’s published standards for cyber security service providers; A standardised curriculum for cyber capacity building – through CREST’s syllabus, course material and professional certifications available in 3,500 exam centres in 158 countries; and Capacity building - through CREST’s experience using its standards to develop training and service provider capability through its CREST CAMP programmes. CREST brings proven, practical experience and capability to work with States to negotiate, agree and evolve the internationally recognised standards required to enable the global supply chain security and capacity building needed for a safer digital world.
