KADAL RESTAURANT located in Vizhinjam, Light House Road, Trivandrum is an authentic place for seafood. Rice accompanied by a variety of fishes is the main menu of this restaurant. They serve meals in banana leaf with side dishes served like that of a sadya. The highlight of this restaurant is their Tawa fish fry. The masala they use is really mouth watering and they serve it steaming hot. The fish will be shown to us and then only they will cook it. Don't be in a hurry when you go to this restaurant as sufficient time should be given to them to prepare the fish. The view from this restaurant is also awesome as we sit so close to the sea. We can have our food by seeing the sea and hearing the sound of the waves. We tried Hamur Tawa fry, prawns fry, squid fry and crab roast with rice and ghee rice. All the dishes were really nice and we really relished the meals. Rate for normal fish curry meals is Rs. 90/- and rates for other fishes depends upon its weight.
