This beach is very diverse as it spreads along 5 Barcelo resorts and offers a variety of bottom landscapes. The rocky sea floor of Barcelo Maya Palace beach hosts a variety of fish just a footstep away from the resort. I have even seen a small barracuda ;) I love the fact that snorkeling fun is there for me 24-7. Yes, you can schedule a special snorkeling trip somewhere else, but why waste 1-3 on the bus or on the boat? This reef is so much fun! Fish there is used to visitors sharing their breakfast bananas, in fact, they expect it hence the swarms of them right by your feet. The yellow ball covered in corals is of unknown to me nature, anyone has any intel?
