From our interview of Chris McCoy Episode 15 part 2 Former Army Ranger Chris McCoy shares one of the most visceral combat memories that's stayed with him for decades. Working alongside Delta Force in Iraq, Chris was called into a house immediately after a close-quarters firefight. What he saw changed him forever. "It looked like somebody had taken a bucket of blood and thrown it up on the wall," Chris describes. The enemy fighter had been hit 12-18 times at close range. A woman sat frozen on her knees. The smell of cordite filled the air. This isn't a Hollywood movie. This is the brutal reality of close-quarters combat that most people never hear about. Chris froze - until a Delta operator had to snap him back to reality: "Come on, we gotta go." This is what war actually looks like. Raw, unfiltered, and human. Chris shares this story not to glorify violence, but to show the weight that warriors carry long after they come home. #DeltaForce #CombatVeteran #WarStories #Military #RealTalk #Iraq #SpecialOperations #Truth
