“Elegance with an edge.” this 1980 Aston Martin V8 was supplied new to the USA finished in Dubonnet with Natural Leather trim and settled in California. The car was purchased by Terry Holt in Australia where it was shipped to. The car was planned to be converted to European specification and right-hand drive. The car was then shipped back to the UK with European bumpers fitted. The car was then sold by Aston Martin Works to the current owner. Works fitted a new hood in Tan and painted the car in black paint. The engine was overhauled and uprated to 6.0 litre with a six speed Tremic gearbox by David Eales at Oselli. The entire interior trim has been fully restored and is one of the best refurbished ever seen, it looks like new, dyed not painted, excellent. The entire suspension and braking system have been totally overhauled and tweaked, settings are perfect, the car sits so well, and the brakes are excellent for a V8 Volante. The whole car has been finely fettled and feels so tight. This is not a tired V8 Volante but Polite manners and Brutal intent. This car is “Discreetly devastating.” It is a pleasure to drive and totally effortless, motorway cruising is a pleasure and cross country exciting.
