I finally got my replacement Check valve / Unloader valve / Bleeder valve / Relief valve or one of the 738.634001 names it goes by lol. In my Silent Compressor video where I replaced my compressor motor. I discovered my check valve went bad and replaced the bad check valve, with a DIY check valve constructed utilizing a one way PVC valve. I purchased from Lowe's / Home Depot as a temporary solution. Today, I was off on the hunt again to the big box stores in search for the supplies I needed to complete my plumbing permanently. Especially, the compression fitting adapters like : 1/2", 1/4", 1/8" NPT to 1/4", 3/8" compression fittings. I was lucky and managed to find some brass replacement bushings, which came in handy! One of the things I ran into was... getting my check valve assembly off Amazon again..... and Yet again Amazon disappointed me. The description didn't have the thread sizing for the Unloader Valve. It just had the listing for the input to the tank 1/2" NPT to outlet 1/2" Compression Fitting. Of course my original had to be 1/4" NPT and the Amazon one was 1/8" NPT. Lowe's had the majority of the compression fittings I needed and they carry a variety of copper tubing in both diameter size and lengths. Home Depot had the uncommon fittings that I really needed. So, lesson I learned is I'll still shop both! In this video I'll be covering the dismantling of my Silent Compressor and building my unloader valve evacuation tube. I'll walk you through it as best as I can step by step with as much full footage as possible in the short amount of time allotted. Trying to provide you with as much detail as possible.
