I decided to walk through Calabanga at night, starting from the public market just as the sun went down. This town is actually home to the very first church in Bicol—Quipayo Church—which was built in 1578. It’s crazy to think this place is even older than the ruins in Cagsawa. The walk goes through the local streets and the town plaza before looping back to the market. I kept the audio natural so you can just hear the evening tricycles and the quiet vibe of the neighborhood. It’s a side of Bicol history that most people usually pass by without noticing. The Route:
