US Congressional Delegation to Islamabad was not sent by Pakistani American diasporas; it was invited by Pakistani government through Embassy. Once you understand this, rest of what happened in Islamabad is easy to understand. Whole show in Islamabad has been staged for optics; goal of military controlled government - with Minerals Conference, Diaspora Convention and inviting Pakistan Caucus in Congress which they always control - was to set a stage to create a feeling of disappointment in people so that they think that no change is possible, no help is coming from any direction. All of that is mere optics. Nothing has changed on ground. Imran Khan’s struggle is difficult, and is fraught with dangers. But Generals life is not easy either. Their road map for future has many many challenges. People need intelligent politics with awareness of issues!
