Today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover for 2" hitches. A common issue whenever you have a hitch on the back of your vehicle is that a lot of dirt and debris can get inside, which can make it a big hassle to get your accessory and all your pins and clips in place. Then whenever you do have an accessory in there, whether it's a ball mount, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier, everything's going to have a little bit of a play to it; that way it can actually get in. But when we're driving down the road, we can get a lot of rattling and a lot of noise that can make a very uncomfortable ride. Our QSP Hitch Silencer and Cover, it's going to take care of both of those problems. We're going to have a cover that's going to cover up the hitch when it's not in use, keep all that dirt and debris out, but at the same time it's going to silence all the accessories that we put in there and eliminate that rattling noise when we're driving down the road. And the way our cover's going to do that, once we have our accessory mounted up, we can simply come to this lever and we'll rotate it down until it latches into place, and it's going to take all that slop and play out of the accessory. You can see the entire car is moving, so it's almost a solid connection point between the accessory and the hitch itself. And by applying all that pressure and reinforcing everything, it's going to reduce the risk of damage either to our accessory or our hitch because of a loose connection. It's going to be made out of a durable plastic construction so we're not going to have to worry about it rusting or corroding, and the cover is going to stay closed using this small magnet on the door. That way we don't have to worry about it coming open whenever we're driving down the road. The QSB is designed specifically for Draw-Tite hitches that have a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how easy it is to get it installed. To begin our installation, we'll grab our cover, and we'll come to the lever on the side. We want to make sure that that's up, facing away from the cover. And you'll notice that there's going to be a small channel in here. We're going to start on the passenger side, come to the hitch, and we're going to slide the cover to where it goes into place, like that. And then we'll just flip the switch down.On the other side of the cover, we're going to have these two little ears that are coming out with two holes in them. We'll grab the cover part, we'll line up the holes, we'll close the cover. Starting from the bottom, we're going to take the pin and we'll press it up until it slides through and is pressed in all the way. Now it's kind of a tight fit, so you will have to push a little hard, but once it goes through all the way, then it'll keep the cover in place, and we don't have to worry about it coming off. With the cover closed, it's going to keep all the dirt and debris out, but when we want to use it, we can lift open the cover, lift the latch open, and we can take our accessory . whether it's a ball mount, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier or whatever else we want to put into our receiver . We'll line up the pin holes, we'll put in our pin and clip, secure everything down and we'll just rotate the lever down, and that's going to take all the slack and slop out of the accessories. We don't have that rattling noise. And whenever we do have an accessory in our hitch, we don't have to worry about that door flapping open because it's going to have a stop, to where it's going to keep it open like this.Daryl wrote in saying, "This is a great product and works as advertised. There's no knocking and clanking noise, and installs quickly and easily. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a smooth and quiet ride when they're pulling a trailer." He even wrote in a year later saying it's "Still great!" and he highly recommends it.That'll finish up your look at the Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover for 2" hitches.
