Magicka: Wizard Wars - Gameplay and First Impression

Magicka: Wizard Wars is an early access game available for free on Steam (link below). It's a multiplayer PvP version of Magicka, and the gameplay seems aimed at simplifying combat and at the same time adding depth and mechanics, all while keeping things balanced on multiple well-designed maps. I played this game with Sileos many months ago (when it first came out, actually) when the game was much, much less developed, and back then the experience was buggy, clunky, error prone, and difficult to play mostly because matchmaking was slow or difficult to organize. I'm delighted to say that all of those problems seem to be shored up, and Magicka: Wizard Wars is very playable now—and even more fun than before!
