It is dedicated to the spirits of the 1st samurai lord Maeda Toshiie and his wife, Matsu. It was established in 1873, after the end of samurai period, by the former samurai retainers who had served to Maeda family. During the samurai period this area known as Kaga domain was all the time carefully monitored by the central shogunate government because of its financial power. The family behaved considerably and did not build this magnificent buiding.
