Today we are doing some work in the kitchen, rendering lard and canning pork. Tonight for supper we are having a simple chicken stew! Chicken Stew Recipe 1 qt broth 1 qt milk 1/2 c flour 2 c chopped chicken 1/2 stick butter Honestly there isn't an exact recipe for this chicken stew, above are the basics to start with and work from there. First combine the broth and butter, bring to a simmer, add chicken. Make a slurry with flour and a little milk, add milk until it is pourable. Add to the chicken stew. Continuously stir until it is well combined. Slowly add in more milk as needed until you reach your desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste and any other seasonings you may like! Enjoy!
