Just when he needed the re-boot...for 7 years ;the 7th son was known as the Wichita Lineman & became the Rhinestone Cowboy. Glen's arrangement & Dennis Lambert & Brian Potter's production made it bigger than what a simple poolside rectangular AM-radio could handle...it blew 'em up! lol. On May 26th, 1975 "the song" was released...a good month before the album! It solidified Glen Campbell as a legend...he was already a superstar. It entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts on May 31st, 1975 & by Summer's end here on the Tonight Show in Sept. he had a #1 hit, 2-million seller.
