The Last Samurai visits Ako castle in Ako city Hyogo prefecture, Japan and introduces Ako gishisai, The festival of 47 Ronin of Ako. This story of Bushido is called Chushingura in Japanese and everybody knows this story in Japan. December 14 is the day when 47 Ronin took revenge in 1703.
