If you want to do your own lasering on titanium and other metals, you can purchase a fiber laser like this 50W one: https://amzn.to/36NBdbB Instructions and settings for etching a dark black mark on Titanium using a 20W fiber laser. This is a color change only mark, similar to an annealing mark on stainless. The engraved area has no depth or disruption of the surface other than the color change. The example being laser marked is our own MARKSMITH Titanium Bolt-Action Permanent Marker. You can purchase MARKSMITH here, and we can also engrave it for you. http://marksmithti.engineerable.com The laser used in the video is a 20W Rofin Sinar Powerline Fiber Laser. These used to be crazy expensive, but the price has come down a lot since I purchased ours. Fortunately, it has been very durable with minimal maintenance required. All the settings are shown in the video. The laser is focused on the top surface of the material. FREQUENCY: The frequency is set high, been 60 and 80khz. I found 80kHz to provide the best results. POWER: The power is decreased until the laser no longer ablates the material. No sparks should be seen. In my case, I found that 30% power to be the sweet spot. SPEED: 100mm/s PASSES: About 10 passes are required. #laser #etch #titanium #engrave #engraving #fiberlaser #sharpie #marker #pen The products shown here were purchased by me with the intent to use them.
