This beach walk was promised in a previous video “Trinidad’s Most Remote Village Along the Caribbean Sea.” Today, we finally show you Matelot's Secluded Beach. Matelot is located roughly 75 km from the nearest town, Sangre Grande, right at the end of the road in northern along the Caribbean Sea, Trinidad. To reach the beach, I had to cross the Matelot River, which was muddy from recent rainfall and very stony underfoot. Many locals have never visited this beach, not because it isn’t beautiful — but because getting here takes effort. No rush. Just the sounds, the walk, and the reward at the end. If you enjoy real Caribbean exploration, quiet beach walks, and seeing parts of Trinidad few people visit, this one is for you.
