What if the church isn’t an event you attend, but a family you devote yourself to? In the final week of Trust and Follow, we look back to the first church in Acts 2:42–47 to see God’s blueprint for disciple-making: a community devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. Foundations don’t look flashy while they’re being poured—but everything stands on them. As we lay a strong foundation at SoFlo, we invite you into the same ancient yet modern way of Jesus: be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did—together. Key Takeaways • The local church is God’s essential design for disciple-making. (Acts 2:42–47) • Devotion is the difference: we order our lives around teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. • Ancient roots, modern mission: hold Scripture, sacrament, and Spirit in tension with cultural relevance. • amily, not a club: unity (not uniformity), joyful generosity, shared tables, shared needs, shared mission. • When the church lives this way, God adds daily—awe rises, needs are met, and people meet Jesus.
