We may feel irritated and discouraged. If we concentrate on so many days ahead, it's a recipe for getting distracted and making decisions with little or untimely details. Frustration and anxiety will emerge once again. Unknown thoughts will bring emotional instability and confusion about how we are going to sustain or adjust to the new. When we live one day at a time, we put energy in believing we are directed by a divine power. We can breathe and reason, and we can manage our lives more orderly. It's the day made for us, and we can choose how we're going to be within that day. We can take time to see the blessings in the stillness and recognize new opportunities. Make the most of this unique time away from the daily routine. Through prayer and reflection learn the importance of connecting to our loving God, who's always with us no matter what. See previously unknown blessings, and realize that mercies are new each day. To God be the glory!
