The Ernest Hemingway Personal Papers includes textual and audiovisual material donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by Mary Welsh Hemingway (Ernest Hemingway's widow) and additional donors over several decades. The collection spans Hemingway's entire career, and contains ninety percent of known Hemingway manuscript materials, making the library the world's principal center for research on the life and work of this author. Researchers and enthusiasts are welcome to explore the Library’s Hemingway-related collections. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston is dedicated to the memory of our nation's 35th president and to all those who, through the art of politics and public service, seek a new and better world. The library and museum’s building was designed by famed architect I.M. Pei, although at the time, Pei was early in his career and much less well-known than the more established and prolific architects Jacqueline Kennedy passed over when choosing him. The library was dedicated in 1979.
