The New Year started off with two terrorist attacks, one in New Orleans, the other in Las Vegas. It is important that we understand what took place. So, we will explain what we know so far, the problems that these terrorists acts cause, and how it fits with and how it fits last days Bible prophecy. Headline 1 What we know so far about ISIS-inspired attack that killed 15 Around 3:15 am on New Years day, a US citizen drove a white Ford SUV flying an Islamic State flag into throngs of people celebrating the New Year in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He crashed the vehicle, then opened fire and then died in a shootout with police. An FBI spokesman said that the toll had risen to 15, citing the New Orleans coroner’s office. Some 30 people in total have sustained injuries. The pickup truck was flying a black flag of the Islamic State group. In addition, they had recovered two improvised explosive devices. In other words, it was a deliberate terrorist act of Islamic inspired terrorism. ISIS, Daesh, is a Sunni Terrorist organization. It is not affiliated with Iran which are Shia Muslims. The driver was 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, a U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas. Jabbar served until July 2020, leaving the military with the rank of staff sergeant. It seems that recently he had been radicalized. The FBI is trying to determine if Jabbar was associated with any terrorist organizations. They said during a news conference that the agency does not believe Jabbar acted alone. This basically sums up what we know right now… Headline 2 Explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel Las Vegas A second attack occurred a few hours later in Las Vegas where a rented Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump hotel in Las Vegas killing the driver and injuring 7 others. Matthew Livelsberger, 37, identified as the driver of the Cybertruck that exploded in Las Vegas, is listed as an Operations Director and Intelligence Manager with Special Forces experience. Both terrorists obtained their vehicles through the Turo car rental marketplace. Federal authorities have discovered that two terrorist in these separate New Year's Day attacks served at the same military installation. The Problem Explained… whether it be ISIS, Iran, or Al Qaeda The terrorist culture is designed to one up one another. There are over 1500 confirmed and possibly over 2800 trained military who have already killed people, are now in the US. The issue that we're having right now is a big problem, namely, all the chatting online They terrorists are independent from one another and have formed very small cells. Why? because if one fails, they only lose two operators at the most. They see what happened yesterday is a great victory. It is causing others to want to do something similar. That's the problem. Summing Up Whether or not these two terrorist attacks were coordinated is not the real issue. The real issue is that there are terrorist cells in the U.S. whether they be ISIS, Al Qaeda, or Iranian. While these groups hate and kill each other there is the saying “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” In other words, the western world, particularly the United States is their enemy. One of the worries from the fall of the Assad regime is that ISIS would once again start its terrorist operations worldwide. Yesterday was an example of this. As we have emphasized, the Bible says that one of the main signs of the end of this age is violence, as it was in the days of Noah. We should pray for protection as well as wisdom. Let’s be aware, but let’s not be obsessed with this issue. All in all, this is one of the many signs that we see taking place now in our world that fulfills what the Bible has predicted about the time of the end.
