Professor Sue Hartley OBE receives an honorary degree at the University of York

#UoYGraduation #UniversityOfYork Professor Sue Hartley OBE, an internationally renowned ecologist, is awarded an honorary degree a the University of York. Her research interests focus on understanding how plants adapt to their environment and how they defend themselves against the organisms that attack them. In 2009 she delivered the televised annual Royal Institution Christmas lectures on the 300 Million Year War between plants and their natural enemies. Sue has served as a trustee of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, as a board member of Natural England and as President of the British Ecological Society.
