Polk Audio Marine Speakers & Subwoofers installed on Chaparral Sunesta 264 Luxury Deck Boat

Here's another boat audio upgrade video and this time it consists of Polk Audio marine speakers and subwoofers. All tasks done including audio, lighting and electrical upgrades on a 2012 Chaparral Sunesta 264 luxury speedboat. If you saw that other boat on the intro, that was the Yamaha 242 speedboat we've worked and there is also a video for that. Here's the link if you wanna watch that boat got new setup. -    • Boat Audio Upgrade & Install - Yamaha...   Ok let's get this project started: 00:00 - A quick tour at the customer's boat yard. 01:00 - Unboxing the Polk Audio MM 1042 SVC MM1 10" 400w RMS marine subwoofer 01:20 - Unboxing the Polk Audio MM 652 6.5" marine coaxial speakers 01:40 - Testing the speakers using the Install Bay All in One tester. If you've observed, the test clips were hooked in reverse. 02:20 - Speaker mounting hole cutting begins here. Reinforced fiber glass panels on boats are very hard to work on to. They're hard and nasty and difficult to cut. You need a lot of extra patience on doing the so. To cut perfect circle, you need a pre-made cutting guide or some jig. You can make one out of half inch thick scrap MDF boards. Drill holes as many as you can on the boat's panel then use a jigsaw to rough cut the hole. Mount the pre-made hole cutting guide by clamping some wood clamps or vise grips to hold the jig securely. Then use a flush trim bit on a palm router to cut a finishing touch. That should make a perfect circle speaker mounting hole. 04:35 - Only use pure stainless steel mounting bolts and nuts. Other than that will just rust away in not time. 04:50 - Testing the installed and wire subwoofer using the Install Bay tone generator. 05:30 - Every terminals, connectors and splices were soldered and insulated with heat shrink tubing. 05:40 - Screw down the Pyle bass control knob. 05:45 - Additional bullet tweeters to be installed using PAC BB-6PR bass blocker capacitors. 06:30 - The customer also wanted to install a horn siren combo and a VHF radio communications transceiver at the helm. 06:55 - Demo time! Let's crank up the volume! All speakers and subwoofers were driven by an 8-channel Pyle PLMRA820 3000w marine amplifier. Factory installed JL Audio M600/6 marine amplifier is now driving only the JBL Club marine subwoofer alone, also OEM installed. I think that concludes are video for today and I hope you like what you just watched. And please let me know what you think and this luxury boat sound upgrade by commenting down in the comment section.
