This is the introductory Lecture in the Lecture Series on Axial Flow Compressors, delivered as part of the FLUID MACHINERY COURSE from the B.Tech Second year Mechanical Engineering Curriculum of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (formerly KTU), Kerala. The Main Objective of this lecture is (i) to provide the students with the Basic idea on the Constructional Features, Working, and Applications of Axial Flow Compressors. and (ii) to discuss the Variation of Velocity and Static Pressure during the Compressor stages in brief.
